I’m proud to show the new logo of Tomasz Stolz Photography!

Tomasz Stolz Photography’s Logo is harmonious, simple in form and at the same time unique. The most distinctive element – emblem contains the whole message regarding the work and the photographer’s surname. In 3:2 format contains the focus and artistic representation of auxiliary elements normally displayed in the camera’s viewfinder which come together creating a unique effect – letters of photographer’s surname. It is a combination of a very familiar symbol and the word ‘STOLZ’.

Harmony
The harmony of the emblem is enclosed in its construction starting with consistency in 3:2 format carrying on to every single element of it. The starting point was chosen to be a square with a side length ‘a’. This was the basis for every element of the logo, creating the main elements whose height and width equal 3a and empty spaces are sized 2a and 1a – this again is a reference to 3:2 format. Assuming that a=1cm the emblem’s size will equal 30x20cm. Precise division is shown in a gridded image of the logo.

Simplicity
The simplicity of the emblem is manifested by the use of a very familiar symbol that’s used daily in photography as well as the videography industry. It is visible on screen in a DSLR, in the viewfinder or even in a web video player, where it’s used as a symbol of fullscreen mode. This emblem is however very unique which is discussed below.

Uniqueness
Tomasz Stolz Photography’s emblem is an exceptional creation. It contains green shapes that are a reminder of what you can see on a screen of a camera but with an artistic approach. This is where the uniqueness is discovered – ‘quaint’ surname, which is created by the shapes together with the zoom symbol. That’s why the emblem with word ‘STOLZ’ inscribed inside is one of a kind and, although simple, it’s impossible to copy it in any other way.

Typography
The typography of the logotype is referencing in it’s whole to the new image of Tomasz Stolz Photography. The font is used both in marketing materials and on the website. Use of kerning, appropriate proportions and script grading create the distinctive characteristics of the new branding.
